Product notes

Ground caraway is a spice made from finely ground caraway seeds. Its warm, distinctive aroma reveals subtle notes of aniseed, pepper and earth, reminiscent of cumin yet milder and fresher.

Widely used in the cuisines of Central Europe, Northern Europe and the Middle East, ground caraway is the perfect accompaniment to bread, savoury pastries, cheeses, potatoes, cabbages and root vegetables. It also adds flavour to meats, cured meats, sauces, soups and certain traditional spice blends.

Thanks to its fine texture, it blends easily into all dishes and releases its aromas quickly. Its unique flavour adds depth and character to recipes whilst remaining well-balanced. To preserve its full aromatic richness, it is recommended that ground caraway be stored in an airtight container, away from light, heat and moisture.
